מיזוג אתריום מוערך לחודשים מאי עד יוני 2022 – ETH 2.0
השדרוג הגדול לרשת Ethereum (ETH) קיבל עדכון נוסף ללוח השנה, בצעד חשוב לקראת אלגוריתם קונצנזוס של הוכחת הון (PoS), המיזוג, צפוי לקרות כעת במאי או ביוני בשנה הבאה (2022)
פיתוח הקוד הנדרש צריך להסתיים עד פברואר, על פי מנהל הקהילה של Ethereum Foundation Tim Beiko ומפתחים אחרים.
המיזוג מתייחס לאירוע בנתיב Ethereum 2.0 כאשר מערכת ה- Ethereum הנוכחית "מתמזגת" עם מערכת PoS בבלוקציין.
"אנו חושבים ש -4 חודשים הם פרק זמן נדיב מביצוע הקוד עד שניתן לראות את המיזוג על גבי הרשת. אנו חושבים שיש סיכוי שהקוד המבוצע יכול לקרות עד פברואר, אז החלטנו להקים את הפצצה [פצצת קושי] על סמך זה ”, אמר בייקו.
הכוונה כאן לגבי פצצת הקושי, שתהפוך את רשת אתריום לבלתי אפשרית לכרייה, ושאמורה הייתה להתפוצץ בחודש בדצמבר. העיכוב הראשון היה בפעם האחרונה בחודש אוגוסט במהלך שידרוג בלונדון, ועכשיו נמסר שכנראה הוא יידחה עוד יותר לחודש יוני 2022.
"כדי להיות ברור, אם המיזוג יהיה מוכן לפני כן, נוכל לעשות זאת לפני יוני", אמר בייקו. ניתן לדחוף את הפצצה לאחור אם המפתחים אינם מוכנים, בפגישה שתתקיים בסביבות פברואר.
לדברי לביקו הם שואפים שיהיו רק עיכוב אחד נוסף.
"זה מייצר איזון בין שמירה על המומנטום של המטבע, באופן אידיאלי לא יצטרכו לדחות את הפצצה פעמיים, לצורך לפריסה ארוכה מהרגיל ו/או שינויים גדולים ברשת", טען. עם זאת, כל המשתתפים בדיון שהתקיים לאחרונה הסכימו שהדבר החשוב ביותר הוא מיזוג בטוח שנבדק היטב, ולכן "אנחנו בסדר עם האפשרות לדחיית הפצצה פעמיים לאחור אם זה נדרש".
לפי בייקו, יש הרבה עבודה לביצוע כאשר מתכוננים למקרים של "התאוששות מאסון", וזה קשה להערכה. פצצת הקושי מבוססת על הרשת הנוכחית, כך שאם ההחלטה לא תהיה מבוססת היא תיפול במהירות לפני המיזוג – מכיוון שכורים רוצים למכור את אסדות הכרייה שלהם – היא עלולה להאיץ את הופעת הפצצה ועלולה להופיע שבועות קודם לזמן שתוכנן.
